Home Remodel, Auchterarder, Perthshire.

This project for a young family new to the area comprised full renovation of a historic manse in the town of Auchterarder.

The project consisted of both structural renovations - removing a wall to link the kitchen and dining room and an extensive interior design including a new bespoke kitchen.

Our client was very engaged and documented the process throughout.

This was an extremely successful project - our client has since embarked on another historic building renovation - and this project was a finalist on the BBC Television Series Scotland’s Home of the Year.

Project Status - Complete.

If you’re considering a project in Perthshire or central Scotland,
a short initial conversation is often the best place to start.

The building was in reasonable condition (see image left) but was in need of a complete refresh.

The internal layout was not reflective of how a modern young family would live. The building has listed building status so it was not straightforward to reorganise the ground floor layout - particularly removing walls to link rooms however, after delicate negotiation with the local planning authority permission was granted and our clients were able to breath new life into this historic building.

The photos below illustrate the newly renovated home. Simple colour palletes paired with high quality materials transformed this home from dark and uninviting to light filled and welcoming.
